My Reflection
The time is nearly over
And farewell lingers in the air
I try hard to thrust this aside
But it overshadows anyway
Still I will enjoy what remains
I will assimilate every moment
Every image of you
And carry them close to my heart
Never will I let them fade
Or drown them in oblivion
I'll love who you will be
And remember who you were
The guard of my heart
The smile in my face
The Rock in my sea
My very best friend
And when we meet again
Nothing will have changed
Your eyes will be the same
And I see my reflection in them
