My mother (A mother's day poem)

Mom, I love you for these reasons.

For your not-so-funny humor,

For your not-so-stylish clothing

For your hopes that's one day,

You may be cool.

For your annoying curiosity

About who I am texting

And what I am doing.

Even when you sing in public

Even when you embarrass yourself,

Even when you humiliate me.

I love you

For your tasteful cooking,

For your understanding

Even if you couldn't possible understand.

For your trust,

And for your eagerness to know

Every last one of my secrets,

And then gossiping to all your friends.

For your kindness,

For your hospitality

And sometimes, even for your brutal honesty.

For you generosity,

For always knowing exactly what to do,

And who to call.

For staying aggravatingly

Calm, cool and collected,

In the most hectic times.

For your thought,

For your effort,

And for your acceptance,

For your unconditional love,

For your inspirational personality

And your inspirational actions.

You are bubbly and friendly,

Intelligent, but not serious,

Fun-ish, when not being weird,

For your motivation to finish what you started,

For your bravery and courage,

For your love to laugh,

And for your smile.

Mom, I love you.
