Red Italian Wine

A mother must always care for her children,

teach them to be good and kind,

they must be perfect little angels by the time they leave for college.

What if that child didn't leave for college?

Would you treat them differently?

Would the child allow you to tear them down with harsh words?

They will cry tears if you are mean to them,

neglecting them while drinking your red wine,

their eyes red like the wine.

The character they bare can be dry or sweet,

like wine,

moving to the motion you give it.

Age makes wine better,

but does it make their emotions wild like a puma,

or tame as a dog?

That one pure soul looked up to it's mother for guidance,

yet the leader broke that trust,

digging a hole where the child cannot escape.
