Wary is the water, trembling beneath her feet.

Draining lifeless smiles,

where love is bittersweet.

Shrouding all the stolen miles

by fools sick with grief.

She walks away with downcast eyes

from guilt of life so brief.

Deceptive minds birth suitor’s lies.

The suitor’s lies she sows and reaps.

To poison lips that fill with death

sinks into bones as angels weep.

And there he lies, choking through his final breath.

Tears are saved, and lives are shed

for fools that fall at the feet of death.
