The next morning Ash slept until 2 in the afternoon. He woke to a thunderbolt, which gave him the biggest scare in his life. He scrambled up and gave a stare to Pikachu, who snickered. He out on some fresh clothes and wandered out of the green tent.

Outside sat Brock, Misty, Clemont and Bonnie. Ash smiled and waved at them as Pikachu hopped on to his shoulder.

"Where were you last night?" Clemont asked, looking up from his next invention. Ash rubbed the back of his head as the small group looked at him.

"I, uh, went on a scout. I thought I saw something," Ash lied. He had finally settled on the fact that he alone could enter the cove. Misty glared at him.

"What did you see?" She asked, not buying the lie. Ash swallowed.

"I don't know what it was," he lied again. Ash knew he couldn't tell the others about the cove, not yet. Mist gave him a glare to let him know he was lying.

"Uh..huh,"

Clemont, stopped the awkward moment, to Ash's releif, by sitting back with a smile on his face. He pressed a button on his wrist as a small white drone whizzed silently into the air. Brock's brows rose.

"Wow, you actually did it..." He mumbled. Clemont sweat dropped.

"Of course I did it! Though, I'm surprised it's working..." He configured the silent drones controls, moving it around. Pikachu's ears perked in wonder as Ash cocked his head to the side.

"What did you do? It looks like a normal drone to me," Ash asked as the sunlight hit Clemont's glasses. The electric gym leaders smirked.

"This is no ordinary drone. It flies silently, and can do this," with a press of a button, the drone landed and out popped four thin metal legs that bend round. It crawled about.

"It can go into a land mode, and thanks to its size and flexibility, can slip into cramped spaces!"

"That's... actually kinda cool," Ash gasped, watching as the small white device crawled up Clemont's leg and up into a pocket in his bag. The inventor smiled.

"Thanks. I try,"

"May rescue squad A7 please report to Commander Levy's tent?" The mega phone announced, causing Ash, Misty and Clemont to exchange a confused look.

"Again already?" Misty asked, heaving herself to her feet. She picked up her bag and slinging it over her shoulders as Suicune joined Ash's side.

"Must be important if Commander wants to see us," Ash suggested.

The three made their way to Commander Levy's tent, finding the battle scarred leader awaiting them by his tent entrance. He saluted them, to which they saluted back, straightening their stance.

"You wanted us sir?" Clemont asked. Levy nodded.

"Yes. I will go right to the point. We received a S.O.S from somewhere within Luminose. Our scouts found a hurt Talonflame carrying it away from the city," Levy held out a peice of clean looking paper, save for a few dirt smudges. The writing on the textile was cracking with dark brown colour. Upon further inspection, Ash realised it was blood.

"Sir, is that blood?" Ash asked, Hoping that his eyes were messing with him. Commander nodded stiffly, picking a small black device from his trench coat pocket and handing it to Clemont.

"Yes, but we must not waste time on small details. This, is a heat signiture tracker. It will help you find them," he explained, as a small red map appeared, showing the small dots of the group.

"Sir, did you say them?" Misty asked.

"Yes. This letter is written by a mother of two. They are heading towards the Tower, you will find them there," the commander handed them a small map, which Ash stiffly took. A family was still stuck in Luminose. The thought was scaring him.
