Ironically, it's what she and Hiccup bond over, and what Jack and Merida envy about them: their tight lipped promise when something is confided with each other.

Due to an unforeseen and immutable decision, she has to indefinitely move back to her home town, miles away from where she currently lives with the three.

It's easy to break in news, but not like this. She has a week to tell the three, and it just gets more and more difficult as her deadline nears as Hiccup's privy to her tell more than anything.
