First it was the plants. The people panicked as the sun burned brighter and the animals followed after them, disappearing one by one whilst the One watched. Finally the human's were the only ones left. It began with the children, then gradually devoured them all. As the earth turned into a torrid swamp of melted life, the One wept with sadness. After giving them the greatest gift of all, so they destroyed it. The tears of the One fell, and recreated the Earth to it's perfect former state, her gift to her children. Perhaps this time the humans would change.
