अभी तोह रात बाकि है

उन्हें जाता देख हम उनसे पूछ पड़े,
"आप कहा चले दिए, अभी तोह पूरी रात बाकि है । "
हमे टालते हुए, वे मुस्कुराके बोले,
"सूरज अपने घर को चला,
हम भी अपने को चले ।
और रात का क्या है, सुबह के इंतज़ार में,
वो भी कट जानि है;
सिर्फ रात ही तो बाकि है !"
हमने भी बड़े प्यार से उन्हें कहे दिए,
"ये तो सच कहा, इंतज़ार तो है,
पर सुबह के होने का नहीं,
आपका हमारे पास लोट आने का।
माना की सूरज अपने घर को चला
पर आप कहा घर से चल दिए ?"
"अभी तो आसमा में चाँद का पूरा होना बाकि है,
रात का चांदनी से मिलना बाकि है ।
सुबह के मिलन को,
रात का साथ बाकि है,
तारो से भरी शाम का जाम बाकि है।
और आप कहते है सिर्फ रात बाकि है !"
