Before I begin, I just want to start by telling you that I'm okay as of right now (07/10/17), just a little sore, but I am on a ton of medications, so...
Alright, so today (07/10/17) I was riding my bike and got into a car crash. I was on the side of the road, and was about to cross and out of nowhere, a car, at full speed without slowing down, crashed into me and my bike.
Here's a photo of the damage I did to the car. You can't see it, but I did some damage right above the headlight, which is where we collided, and then I bounced up onto the windshield. Surprisingly, my bike (which I literally got yesterday because my old one was stolen) only has a scratch on the seat. Luckily, I had my helmet on, if not, I probably wouldn't be here right now. There is a good sized crack in the back of my helmet, which could've been my head if I hadn't worn my helmet. I had to ride in the paramedic truck which arrived about 40 minutes after the initial accident. Lucky for me, we crashed right next to a nurse's house, so she was able to take care of me until the A.P.D., paramedics and firefighters arrived to take care of me. The passengers of the car made it out without a scratch, however I was in the emergency room for about three hours. I'm home now, enjoying a nice meal of McDonalds and I'll be pretty bed ridden all week so, if you've got any questions, feel free to ask, and I'll try to answer in a timely fashion. For now: here's a few pictures of me in the paramedic truck with my dad. (Sorry my face is red and blotchy, but I was crying because I got hit by a car so give me a break!)
