My fingers awkwardly pressed on the piano's keys, slowly remembering how to play

But still she was lulled to sleep, to her my music was like an angel's voice

She looked so strong, refusing to be confined to her bed

But yet the sickness overtook her

I was gone the day she left

Halfway across the world

She died with her eyes closed, peacefully resting

But still, memories of her remain, every laugh, every moment

And I do hope to cherish them

memories of my grandmother

may she rest in peace

I'm visiting her gravestone in a few days
