*A/N: So I'm going to try to update more frequently, anyway enjoy this chapter!

A few days later, Regina was getting ready for breakfast again when she heard someone knocking on her door. With a sigh she grabbed a bathrobe to cover herself and opened the door, ready to yell at the person on the other side. She didn't expect the person to be so little though.
"Roland? What are you doing here? Were's your father?", she asked. When the little boy sent her an dimpled smile, she narrowed her eyes suspiciously. What was he doing here without his father? Especially with a Wicked Witch trying to destroy her.
She bent down to his height and asked him again. "Roland, what are you doing here sweetie?" Roland just smiled and walked inside her chamers, jumping on her bed.
Regina chuckled to herself. "Just like his father, always doing things he shouldn't", she thought. With a shake of her head, she walked towards him. Sitting down on the bed, she grabbed his waist and put him on her lap. He immediately wrapped his small arms around her neck and she couldn't help but embrace him back. They'd grown closer over the past few days, ever since Robin let Daniella see him again, he always seemed to shadow the girl.
It seemed like yesterday that it was Henry doing the same thing. She missed him like crazy.
She sighed and pushed her tears back, this wasn't the time to think about her dear son. So she pushed these thoughts to the back of her mind and focused on the little boy sitting there now.
She cherished this for a moment longer before pulling back, looking into his big brown eyes. "This boy is going to be the death of me one day." Damn his puppy eyes and his dimples. Like father, like son.
"Does your father know you're here?", she asked. When he nodded, she sighed and asked him again why he was here. His answer was not one she had expected. "Papa said that I could go to the party." Regina looked at him, confused. "Do you mean the ball?"
He nodded. "Are you going too?", he asked, his big brown eyes starting into hers. And she found it hard to resist him. She silently cursed that look. After another minute, she caved. "Maybe, why?"
"Because I wanted to go with you", he said innocently. Regina felt a smile grow on her face and Roland smiled right back, dimples on display.
"Well, I'd love to go with you." She just simply couldn't resist him. Who knew it only took one dimpled smile from a little boy to melt the Evil Queen. Her former self would laugh at her, as would her mother. "Well, mother's dead, and the Evil Queen... she was gone for now", she thought to herself. She was snapped out of her thoughts when she heard a stomach growl and it wasn't hers. She switched to 'mom mode' and said: "Well it looks like you are hungry." Roland's cheeks turned a bright shade of red when he nodded shyly. "How about this; I'm going to finish getting ready while you wait here for a second, then we'll go to the Main Hall together."
After an enthousiastic yell from Roland, she waved her hand. When the purple smoke disappeared, she was dressed in one of her less regal dresses. A red one that embraced her torso and had long sleeves. Her makeup was done and her hair was down in curls.
She looked at Roland. "How do I look?" He was looking at her, openmouthed. "You look pretty!", he yelled as he jumped in her arms. She laughed. "And you look very handsome." He turned red again and Regina couldn't help but kiss his forehead.
She walked towards the door and opened it, only to freeze when she saw who was behind it. It was Robin, about to knock. They looked at eachother for a moment.
Robin mouth dropped lightly open, like Roland's had only moments before, and he felt his hands twitch to run them through her hair. To feel whether to long tresses were as soft as they looked.
Regina hid her reaction a bit better, her mouth was still closed. But just like Robin, she couldn't help but stare. He was handsome, very handsome. And just like the first time they met, she couldn't help but stare into his eyes. Those blue eyes that always seemed to capture hers. And again she found that she couldn't look away. She cursed him silently. Damn his eyes. Damn his smile and his dimples. Damn him.
They were both snapped out of their trance when Roland yelled: "Papa!"
Regina winced slightly as her eyes immediately looked at Roland. She blushed slightly and cursed herself for her reaction. Robin seemed to do the same thing, his attention switching from Regina to Roland.
"Aah there you are, my boy." Roland nodded and squirmed a little, causing Regina to set him down. The moment his feet hit the floor, he ran towards Robin and Regina couldn't help but miss his warmth a little. "Stop it, Regina. He's not your son."
She pushed the feeling away and turned her attention back to the two people in front of her. Roland was whispering in Robin's ear and Robin was laughing silently. Regina narrowed her eyes and looked between the two. She was slightly suspicious of what they were talking about.
When she heard Robin say: "Did she now?" And saw Roland nod, she knew there were talking about her. And probably about her being the little boy's date for the ball.
Her thoughts were confirmed when she saw Robin looking at her in amusement. She wanted to wipe or kiss that look of his face. She wasn't sure which. And she didn't like it.
She changed the subject. "We were about to go to the Main Hall, before you decided to interupt." Her voice lacked the warmth it had when she talked to Roland or Daniella and Robin noticed. He bent down and adressed Roland. "Well, then I better go. Do you want to sit with the Queen today?"
Regina's eyes widened in shock, he was letting his son have breakfast with her. Did he even realise who she was? He simply smiled at her and let Roland run towards her after he said yes. He than stood up again and nodded at her. She nodded back and gave him a little smile as a thank you.
After he'd left, Regina picked Roland up and set him on her hip. She then made her way to the Main Hall to have breakfast with the littlest Merry Man.
