All my life.

I'm told to be someone I'm not.

I'm a disappointment to my family. A failure, in my father's words. I can't help that I like boys and girls, I just want people to accept me.

"How can you know, you're only fourteen."

"Yeah, but—"

"Go to your room, come back when you wish to apologise."

"Apologise for what? Being Bi?"

"That's enough!"

I lift my hand to my face as if remembering the slap that followed what my father said. I couldn't be happier to be in the Games, at least I won't have to go back home.
