Sweet Little Lies (Free Verse)

Sweet Little Lies

You tell me you are there for me,

Then you turn around and ignore me.

You always say you love me,

But then you leave me.

You talk all about me,

and in this case, words do speak as loud as actions.

Because you talk about me like I have no heart,

and treat me like a bait dog in a cage full of pit bulls.

And you're one of the pit bulls,

waiting in line to tear me apart- piece by piece, until I give in and fall.

You act like I am the bad guy,

the one who deserves to be ingored, punished, and treated as an outcast.

Then you act as if it never happen,

so you have someone to be there when you're the outcast of the day.

And at the end of the day,

all you have fed me are lies.

But, yet you want me to help you.

How is that right?
