Lamees froze. "Why?"
"Because I wanna know, I'm curious."
She frowned at him, not liking this sudden change in topics. "Why're you curious?"
He blinked at her. "Because curiosity is human nature?"
"But why now? You weren't ever curious before about something like this so why now? Why the sudden interest?"
"Because I hadn't met you before."
She went silent.
"I just want to know more about you and what you believe in... I mean, is that so wrong?"
Lamees thought about it for a while before sighing. "Where do I even start?"
He smiled and leaned forward in his seat. "Okay, start with the headscarf. Why do you wear that?"
"Oh, I don't wear this for religious purposes. I just need something to cover up my headlice."
The expression on his face made her laugh uncontrollably for minutes.
