Sitting at the window sill
Engrossed in the night so still

I was ought to ruminate,
the world of bodies that do exist but the hearts that which are extinct.

Was this a pleasant sojourn to live purposeless and die meaningless?
Or was it an unpleasant testing for an after life with nothing less?

For I know not what to believe
To the screams of knowledge from my brain?
Or the rays of humanity etched on my heart?

And maybe, just maybe this is a phase that shall eventually wilt
Or it's the path that shall lead me to the warm home of my quilt

But all I know for now is...
I am laying bare my invasive instincts,
Cruising along the bemoaned memories of my existence on a fraying thread.
