We'll begin with mentioning the clown scare of late 2016. If you didn't happen to hear about it, basically a few people around the U.S. (mainly closer to the East Coast, as far as I know) were dressing up like clowns and coming out at night to scare other people.
They stood on the sides of dark roads, waiting to jump out when cars drove by. They went into haunted houses and caused chaos. They broke into homes and damaged private property. Those who were caught and questioned by the police maintained their mindless activities.
Long story short, if you had any amount of common sense, you didn't want to go anywhere at night.

Anyway.
I've never successfully written a scary story before, so hopefully I'll be able to manage this. The beginning of this story is based on true events (honestly one of the most terrifying nights of my life), but the rest is from my imagination. Thank goodness our evening didn't turn out as this fictional version does.
Also, names have been changed (and boy, oh boy, was that fun)... Just so y'all don't think I'm announcing all the deets to the whole world.
