Hi guys :) New book! I know you all are waiting for the sequel for 'The School for the Gifted' but before then I decided to start a whole new project which is "Superpowered" . I will return to The School for the Gifted of course, but I wanted to try something new so I wouldn't grow tired of the Characters. I love them so much, as if they are my own children so taking a break from them was needed.

I hope you enjoy this! Please vote + comment :) it would mean a lot to me. All commentary is welcome!

ENJOY!

Chapter 1 – Run

"How does it feel to be the only member of the Ellis family to survive?!”

Genevieve Ellis opened her eyes to at least twenty reporters surrounding her. Each of them were yelling off the top of their lungs. She panted, nervous yet embarrassed.

It was then that she felt the pain in her side. It was a sharp pain as if it was eating at her insides. She glanced around, taking in her surroundings but not being able to make them out. For some reason she had no idea where she was and the blaring from each reporter was giving her a headache.

She grimaced as a pain shot through her side, the reporters didn’t take this into account. They continued to yell.

“Are you angry?! Are you sad!? How does it feel to know that your entire family has passed away due to such a fatal accident?!” Yelled another reporter.

Genevieve’s eyes went wide.

Accident? She thought. What accident?

She glanced down at herself to realize she was being pushed on a stretcher into an ambulance car. It was then that she grew beyond overwhelmed. Her stomach was covered in blood and her hands were scraped badly. Tears welled in her eyes as her stomach turned. She panted, this time harder and heavier. The tears began to spill over before she began to scream off the top of her longs in hysteria.

“What’s happened to me!?” She yelled. “What’s going on?!”

The paramedic paused from pushing her into the ambulance truck, worried and confused. “Ma’am, do you not recall the events that you have just witnessed?”

And just like that, her face went a hot pink due to embarrassment. She couldn’t remember. She didn’t know where she was or why she was being pushed on a stretcher. Paranoia passed through her veins causing her to resist the paramedics grasp. He reached out, placing his hand on her shoulder to calm her. Genevieve, however, wouldn’t have it.

The reporters continued to yell. “Do you not remember the accident you just encountered?! Do you know who you are?!”

No. She thought. Her brain began to go frantic with alarm. WHATS WRONG WITH ME!?

Suddenly, before she could even think of anything else her body began to feel lighter as if it was floating. A cold wind passed through her hair and a shiver passed through every inch of her skin. Her veins began to feel cold yet a content feeling seemed to be plastered into her mind.

She had no idea what was going on but the reporters suspected otherwise.

“Where’d she go!?” Yelled one reporter.

“She’s gone!” Yelled another. “Genevieve has disappeared!”

“She has escaped us!” Yelled a reporter across the street.

Genevieve glanced down at herself in shock. Every inch of her, her hair, her nails, her skin, was completely transparent. She lifted her hand to her face seeing that there was nothing but invisibility.
