Cassi was extremely quiet for a few days after talking to Hermione and Draco, she would almost always be found under a large tree by the Black Lake. Teddy had been by her side every day, just holding her close to him and letting her know that he was there if she wanted to talk but she never did. She had suddenly become very distant to Sirius which had never happened before and even Violet was struggling to get anything out of the blonde. It was November 5th when Cassi spoke again outside of the classroom “Teddy, I want to write to my parents… tell them I’m not coming home at Christmas. I wonder if Hermione or Draco would let me stay with them for the entire holiday” she said as she looked up at her boyfriend. Today he had decided to go with dirty blonde hair that had brown highlights and brown eyes, which Cassi had to admit, really suited him. He smiled as he wrapped his arms around her, pulling her close to him “Well, even if they can’t, I am sure that gran would let you come stay at our house… I could just say that you have some family problems, she won’t ask questions” he smiled at her as he placed a light kiss on her cheek.

She couldn’t help but smile as she cuddled into his arms and smiled “I would love that Teddy, I mean I do love mum and dad but they didn’t even reply to my letter I sent them asking for information on our biological parents… That was before they showed up at the school mind you” she sighed as she closed her eyes, keeping close to him as she felt safe in his arms. “Babe… I think you need to talk it over with Sirius though, you’ve hardly spent time with him since Halloween when you found out” he sighed, stroking her arm softly. She slowly nodded as she kissed him lightly on the lips “You’re right but he will probably flip out when he finds out I’m not going home” she sighed lightly before moving to sit in between his legs and leaned back on his chest, he smiled and wrapped his arms around her tightly, not wanting to let go ever. It was hard to believe how young they were because of how they were acting together. Cassi was only 11 and Teddy was 12 yet they were acting like they were in their mid-teens, though nothing would ever go past hugging and kissing.

After a couple of hours about talking through everything that had been bothering Cassi, she gave Teddy a light kiss goodbye and made her way to the Slytherin Common Room where Sirius was sitting doing his homework, Cassi slowly walked over and sat by his side “I’m sorry I’ve been distant” she whispered as she cuddled into him as tears came to her eyes. Sirius stopped writing as he wrapped his arms around Cassi and held her close as the tears fell and she began to sob into his chest. Sirius helped to calm her down and they talked about how they were feeling about knowing who their parents actually were now, Sirius didn’t really think of them as his parents but Cassi did in a way as she felt as though she could relate to them more than she could with Mike and Sophie. She took a deep breath in before she admitted her plans “I’m going to write to both Hermione and Draco… Ask them if I would be able to stay with them over the Christmas holidays, I don’t want to go back to Mum and Dad the now because they didn’t even bother to reply to my letter I sent them” she mumbled as she wiped the remainder of the tears away.

Sirius couldn’t help but stare at her in shock “CASSI!” he exclaimed as he stared at her, unable to believe what he was hearing. “Anyway, what if both Hermione and Draco say no?” he asked with a raised eyebrow but Cassi smiled softly “Teddy has already said that if that happens, he will speak to his gran and see if I can stay there, he understands how I am feeling and why I don’t want to go back home just yet” she sighed softly as she rested her head on his shoulder for a few moments “I understand if you want to still go home and stay with them over the holidays, I won’t try to stop you as it’s your choice” she said softly as she looked up at her brother with a small smile on her lips. He sighed as he held her close “I am going home, I miss mum and dad and I really want to see them again” he told her as he pulled away from the hug slightly, chewing on his lip as he tried to think of how to tell her “Violet broke up with me” he mumbled quietly before she stared at him in shock before hugging him softly. He shrugged slightly “We are staying friends… Just decided that we were young and not ready to have a relationship yet” he told her with a small smile on his lips. Cassi was happy that the two were staying friends as she would have hated it to become awkward for them to hang about together. She smiled softly as she went into her bag and pulled out some parchment and began to write some letters.
