I am a Nobody

I am a nobody.

I am unheard.

When I speak,

Not a single word.

Though I try,

To be seen,

Maybe one day,

They'll hear my silent screams.

So I sit here in the dark,

Writing down words no one will hear,

I only hear whispers of my fears.

I am a nobody.

I am alone.

I am a loner.

No light is shown.

Sometimes I wonder,

Would it would be like,

To be one of them,

In the spotlight.

They don't understand,

Although they try.

Only God knows,

Why I cry.

They try to act like me,

So people will feel sorry for them,

They actually believe,

But I comprehend.

I am a nobody.

And nobody knows

Why this is,

The life I chose.
