Her smile is what keeps me alive tonight
Her hope is all I have to lean on
Eyes filled with beauty, love, and courage
One of the strongest people I’ve ever known
Now she rests in the hospital bed
Her beeps are all I hear
Skin white as snow, hands clenched, eyes closed.
Yet, she still looks beautiful
I kneel down by her side and take her hand
The tears seem to come like a storm passing by
The person who made me laugh, the one who always had a smile on her face, the one who told me about angels
She now waits to go to heaven
No more pain, no more worries
Then everything stopped
My grandmother left this world and went to heaven to be with the angels.
