Kimi slid into Crisha's car, pulling her seat belt on and rolling her eyes at her older sisters peeking out the blinds, trying to see who she was with and what she was doing.

Crisha glanced over at her mentee and shook her head, putting the car in drive. "Did you bring a change of clothes?" she asked.

"Shit," Kimi cursed.

But Crisha kept driving, confusing Kimi. She turned the radio on, and Kimi frowned. "Ain't you go let me go and get my bag?"

"Don't worry about it."

Kimi just sat back and relaxed, looking out the window. She was grateful to Crisha extending her invitation to stay the night with her. That meant she didn't have to listen to her crying nieces and nephews first thing Saturday morning, she didn't have to worry about her sisters dipping out and leaving her with their snot-nosed children, and she didn't have to worry about trying to beat anyone into that bathroom.

She knew Joslyn and Ashly were mad as hell that they'd lost their free babysitter for the weekend. Too bad for them.

"I'm having some friends over too," Crisha told Kimi, pulling into the lot of The Wesley Square. "Get out."

Kimi got out the car and caught up to Crisha. "College friends?" she asked, grinning.

Crisha rolled her eyes, but she couldn't help laughing as she ignored the question and opened the door to the convenience store. "Get what you want. And hurry up because I left niggas at my house."

Kimi giggled then, making her way down the candy aisle and picking up massive amounts of sugar only to also grab two Faygo pops. When someone told her to get what she wanted, she got what she wanted.

Crisha looked at all the candy Kimi had and over at Kimi before she shook her head, shrugged, and watched the cashier ring it up.

"Yo teeth are going to fall out."

Kimi smiled brightly and held up a finger, going to get a toothbrush, toothpaste, and a small bottle of mouthwash. Crisha rolled her eyes. "Smart ass," she told her, letting the cashier ring it up.

Crisha put their bags in her back seat before she took Kimi to the small boutique and instructed her to get clothes for the weekend.

While Kimi looked around, Crisha stepped aside to answer a call from her boyfriend.

Most of the clothes were on clearance, so Kimi didn't have a problem with allowing Crisha to buy the clothes. She, herself, couldn't otherwise afford them even with her part-time summer job.

When Kimi got what she was getting, Crisha paid, and they made their way back to her condo. When they walked in, two of Crisha's friends were there, and she introduced Kimi. "Jason, Justin, this is my friend, Kimi. - Kimi, these are friends of mine, Jason and Justin."

Both men greeted her, but Justin was the one who walked over to her and took her hand, smiling down at her. "Why you didn't have pretty friends like this before, Crisha?" he asked, his eyes never leaving Kimi's.

Kimi was mesmerized, unable to take her eyes away from Justin. Her breath was taken away. She had never imagined a man this fine would ever bother laying his eyes on her, yet alone calling her pretty.

Crisha mushed him in the face and took Kimi's hand. "I did have friends this pretty before. I just didn't introduce them to you, stupid."

"You should've introduced me to my future wife a lot sooner, Cri," he told her, still smiling at Kimi who was blushing fiercely at this point.

"Look, you embarrassing her little young ass!" Crisha fussed at him.

"No, you embarrassing her, Crisha," Jason told her from his post on her sofa. "Let that girl live. You ain't her mama."
