I can't continue like this
Like everything is okay
Like nothing was ever wrong.
When you left,
When you didn't want t come back,
I thought I could handle it.
In order to be happy now,
I have to think of myself for once,
I have to give in.
You've been my best friend,
You exceeded being a brother, you were more somehow,
In most ways, you've been a part of me.
You've talked me through a lot,
You got me through my darkest days,
But that part is in the past.
Once you came back,
Once you re-entered again,
How did you expect everything to be back to normal?
You've changed,
Or maybe I have,
But in all honesty, we've drifted.
I can't tell you about my problems anymore,
It just feels wrong.
I have to give in,
And let go,
In order to be free again,
In order to feel happy again,
I will have to let go...
