Lux woke up to a loud 'BOOM!'. They gasped and jolted up out of bed, to realize that it was thunder. Lux laughed out of relief. It was just a dream.
Lux sat up and put their hands on the edge of the bed. They realized how unbelievably sweaty they were. Ew, I need to wash myself. After pondering for a moment, they stood up and began to walk across the room to the long set of stairs. Oh my, not again. Maybe I'll just slide down this time... They thought.
Lux hopped up onto the railing of the stairs and started to slide down. It became faster and faster, and it was so fun. But suddenly, Lux saw a tall wooden pole ahead and panicked. Oh god, fine! They pushed themself off of the railing with their arms, and fell onto the stairs below.
Crack! Lux felt something move, something inside them. Then the pain came. They gasped and cried out in agony. Lux tried to get up, but found that they couldn't. Okay, I guess I shouldn't have done that. They felt the world spinning around them and wanted to throw up. They groaned and they felt sleepy. Suddenly, Lux's head hit the floor and everything went black.
