the door of the house opens showing my mom with tears in her eyes.
"mom what's wrong?"
"nothing honey. nothing." she says wiping her wet eyes.
"is that how long-"
"let's eat yeah...?"
i nod obeying her.
she's avoiding it.

"can you help me with the groceries."
i walk downstairs to see my mom putting stuff into our fridge.
"sure."
my mom hands me a can to put into a cupboard.
i went to open the cupboard but everything went black for a second.
"adena!" my mom says grabbing my arm as i almost fell.
"i'm okay... just dizzy..." i sigh rubbing my head standing back up.
these head aches are back.
