There she goes
A seamstress
A darling
There's nothing around here
She can't fix
Your garment
Your bathrobe
Your nixed, disregarded
Can all be repaired
With a quick stitch
But what happens when
She can't get her thread
Through the eye of the needle
In time to defend
Her best work
It's off with her head
Figuratively speaking
Thats how she must feel
When all of her clients
Desert her
And so she's alone
No job
And no husband
To help keep her going
life's a deep ditch
That she can't climb out of
Until she meets Roland
Who knows the value of
A quick stitch
There they go
Carpenter
And seamstress
There's nothing around here
They can't fix
Her carpet
His wardrobe
The sad, broken-hearted
Can all be repaired
With a quick
Stitch
