Flashback to before the accident

Alexander waited on a park bench for the three to ask them something important. Aaron and him were going to a wedding in Las Vegas and wanted to invite their 3 friends.

After 25 minutes he decided to text Eliza:

Alex: You still coming??

While he waited for a response he rehearsed what he would say to them.
"Laf an-"
No..
He said to himself.
"Me and Aaron-"
Supposed to say Aaron and me, Alex!
"Aaron and I are going t-"
He was interrupted by a phone call from a hospital.
"Weird." He whispered to himself, "It must be a wrong number."
Minutes passed and he continued to receive phone calls from the same number.
He decided to pick up the phone.
