The Perfect Job

The day was dark and rain hit the ground like pebbles. Everyone was indoors, preferably the 'Bee and Barb' tavern.

It was the perfect day for the perfect job and I knew just where to start. At first I'll start at the market stalls, there were only six of them so no big struggle there; I'd then proceed to Raven Manor, a huge place but no one is ever there so it would be a breeze, once I've got the loot I'll head back to the guild, cash in and get a few bottles of the reserve.

It was a perfect plan... or so I thought, it didn't work out as planned but in some senses, it worked better than I could have hoped.

I went to the market stalls, I got a few rings, a note a key and a few money purses. I didn't think much of the note and key.

Raven Manor, it was sealed off by almost every way possible... Almost. On the balcony, at the top of the Manor, the owner Mendilyn Raven, made a small drawbridge for 'escapes'. I certainly wasn't escaping. A well-placed arrow could lower the bridge with ease as the mechanism was just rope on a drum. Nothing fancy really.
