"Now I know this year has been a lot for you Lily, but it is my belief, as well as your parents', that talking to someone would be of great help to you."

Lily just stared at the ground, not wanting to respond, or even be in that room at all. The pastel yellow walls were too bright for her liking and the pictures of Dr. Cornell's family were looking at her, like they knew all her secrets and that made her even more uneasy than she already had been.

Understanding Lily would not be doing much speaking, Dr. Cornell spoke again, her voice soothing, despite the circumstances Lily had found herself in.

"We don't have to jump right into the serious stuff. Why don't you tell me something you enjoy doing outside of class in your free time."

This made Lily smile, as she thought about the adrenaline and ultimate satisfaction that came with her love of dancing. The look on the crowd's face as she nailed the triple she had been working on for weeks. The way she felt like she floated around the studio when she was rehearsing one of her lyrical solos.

"I like to dance. A lot," Lily responded.
