         Home; to most people its a place where you sleep, eat, and feel at total ease with ones self. But for me home isn't a place with four walls and a roof, its the vast waters of the ocean. I spend every ounce of free time in the ocean were the waves provide what the land can't, freedom. Freedom to go out and try new and unthinkable things,to let your spirit run the the energy the ocean hold. Surfing is my life, but I'm not exactly 'connected' to the ocean as I would like to be, unfortunately I live in a small desert like town in California called Spring Hills, population 2,600. Everyday after school my best friend Sarah and I drive almost two hours to Laguna Beach to surf and train for weekend competitions, but everything changed about 4 weekends ago after a major competition; The owner of Rip Waves contacted Sarah and I asking if we would like to be sponsored by them. After a screeching yes the company placed us in a huge competition that allows the top three winners in each heat a trip to Hawaii to compete with pro-surfers at the Oahu invitational.
