I ran downstairs and into the dining room so I could try to get food. Usually I don't get food but I'm gonna try harder today. Once I was in the dining room I climbed up on a chair and went for the last muffin by Jared took it.
"Too slow runt." He teased before eating it. He's my big brother but I was disowned so it makes him kinda not my brother in a way.
I tried again and reached for a banana. No luck. I jumped across the table and grabbed a piece of toast.
"Yes." I mumbled. Before I could take a bite it was snatched out of my hand. I whimpered and reached for it. "That's mine!" I yelled. Jordan, one of Jared's friends laughed and ate it.
"Too bad midget." He said before walking off. I'm not a midget, I'm 4'8. I looked at the table and sighed. It's empty.
"Hey! Runt don't you see the Alpha and Luna trying to walk past." Someone yelled. I looked up at my parents who were looking down at me.
"Sorry." I whispered before quickly walking off.
I ran up to my room and went into my money jar. My room is pretty descent because I've had a job since I was thirteen. A knock on my door made me jump. I opened the door to find my parents standing there.
"Alpha, Luna." I said respectfully with a bow. I learned a long time ago not to call them Mom and Dad. The hard way.
Royale, this is yours." My Dad said as he handed me a piece of toast. I smiled like a child on Christmas and hugged him.
"Oh I'm sorry um thank you Alpha...t-thank you too Luna." I mumbled embarrassed. My Mom never looks at me I think it's because I look exactly like her when she was my age. We have the same brown eyes the same tiny nose and the same plump pink lips the only thing I don't have of hers is her hair mine is bright red like my dads.
"Harold, she's got to get ready for school." My Mom said.
"Well actually I'm not going to school I have a doctors appointment." I said. My Dad pretends to be disinterested in my life but I can tell he is sometimes.
"You're going for a checkup?" He asked.
"Um y-yeah but I'm not allowed to go to the pack doctor so I'm going into town it should take most of the day." I said mainly to myself. I don't have a car and the bus doesn't start running until you get into the town. I'll walk about 9 miles just to get there.
"Let her get ready." My Mom begged. I could tell she didn't want to be in here anymore. I think I make her uncomfortable. "I'm leaving." My Mom said and walked away quickly.
"Well I guess I'll see you around. Bye Alpha." I mumbled with a quick bow before closing my door. I ate the piece of toast quickly then pulled on a pair if black jeans and a blue sweatshirt. I pulled on my backpack where I keep all of my important papers and headed downstairs. A guy bumped into me and I flew down the last three steps. I sat up and groaned.
"Watch were you're going, runt." He spat as he walked past me. I stood up and walked outside.
My visit to the doctor went how I expected. I only weigh 90 pounds which is the right weight for someone by size and I'm 4'9 I actually thought I was 4'8. I got home around six which was earlier than I expected.
"Royale." An old voice said excitedly when I walked through the door. I looked up and smiled at the only people who actually love me. My grandparents.
"Grandma grandpa." I squealed excitedly. My grandpa picked me up and gave me a kiss on the cheek.
"We've been here since 7:30 in the morning where were you?" My grandma asked.
"I was at a doctors appointment." I said.
"Well aren't your parents supposed to take you?" Grandpa asked me.
"Grandpa you know I don't have parents." I mumbled.
"I can't believe my own son did this to his only girl." My grandma said angrily. I sighed and held on tighter to my grandpa.
"Do you want to see the new things I added to my room?" I asked quietly.
"Later but first we need to talk to yours parents all of us." My grandpa said angrily.
"This is unacceptable." My grandma said.
