I sat in my mothers old rocking chair today

And listened to everything my man had to say

Oh yes he pleaded his case

With a look of desperation on his face

He tried to soothe me with his touch but something about this time let me kno i had enough

I finally opened my mouth to speak but deccided to let my emotions smother and drown him from head to feet

I let my eyes bring heat and my cold stare bring shivers as i started the monologue i always tried but never delivered

"Baby if you loved me why do you lie? Why do you make tears form in the corners of my eyes and fall down my cheeks like the women that fall at your feet? Why if you love me  you hit me with the words that bruise and batter my heart and make me wonder why we even started this? And why if you loved me you never made an honest woman out of me?"

This is what I choked on and after we made love and he left me alone once again  I sat in my bed and ask myself " if you loved me why you take him and all his shit."
