Painful Beginnings Blissful Endings(POEM)

They have no idea what it is that they ignorantly speak.

Hate is a color easily seen and expressed.

When hate is spoken all must shelter themselves from it.

You can quote whatever you want and say words don’t hurt.

But words pierce deeper than a sword and leave a painful mark on your heart and soul.

Tears are easily shed and mixed with time can turn those wounds into scars.

Those scars remind us of how we came to get to where we are.

They remind us of how we became the person we now see before us.

For most the pain is not worth being taught a life lesson.

But those lessons later define us as a person.

Having survived that pain defines our strength that we all have buried deep within our hearts.

We can choose to shelter our hearts from that point on to keep from feeling pain again.

But without some of those risks we wouldn’t have some of our greatest blessings.
