I had finally left the hospital, after a month of the same old room, and same old hospital gown, you would want to leave. Mom dropped me off at the house, and she went to a business meeting. The same old empty house that I had left. I gave Gemma the key to the house, a couple weeks ago so she could clean up the ‘mess’. I thanked her for doing that. I unlocked the chrome door handle, and slipped inside the house. I took a deep sigh, dropping my bag on the floor. My footsteps echoed in the empty house. Step after step, I walked up to my room, sitting on my bed.

I laid my head back on the pillows, staring up at the ceiling. So much is on my mind right now.

When I go back to school, I wonder if things will be the same. Brittany will go back to her normal games, tormenting other students, maybe even me. I still need to tell her dad passed. I wonder what her reaction would be, what if she breaks down? What if she doesn’t care? Why did Brittany change as soon as they moved away from me and dad? What about when Brittany said ‘He is so clueless’? Did it have to do with Harry?

When I go back to school, I’ll also see Liam. I still can’t believe what he said while I was in a coma. I mean, who would like me? Like I’m just plain, old, boring me. Ugh, first world problems. I can’t believe he, loves, me. Should I tell him that I heard him? Should I keep it to myself? Life is so confusing.

*Next Day*

BEEP! BEEP! BEEP!

I slammed my hand down on my alarm clock, and groaned. I slowly got up, and went into my bathroom. My bare feet hit against the cold tile, as I turned the knob of the shower handle. The steamy water came out, and I stepped into the shower.

I washed my hair and body, then I turned off the shower. Wrapping a cotton towel around my body, walking over to my closet, pulling out a graphic tee, a pair of shorts, and black converses.

I pulled them onto my body, and laced my shoes. Brushing through my wavy hair, leaving it natural, I put on little makeup. I ignored breakfast, and walked out of the house, grabbing my bag on the way.

I slowly walked to school, memorizing the details of the sidewalk. I was like that until I finally reached school. Walking up the steps, into the huge school. Everything seemed normal, until I stepped in the building. Everyone had stopped walking, talking, and breathing. They all looked my way, and gave me weird looks. It was dead silence, until I scoffed.

“If you all want to say something, go ahead!” I said, loud enough for them all to hear.

Everyone looked away, and the chattering began. I walked down the halls to my locker, and opened it up. Grabbing the books, shoving them into my bag, I heard footsteps, and laughter. Then it all stopped, the talking, the walking, the laughing. I looked to the direction of the laughter, and saw Brittany, Devon, and another one of her little pep friends. The stopped what they were doing, and stood there, frozen, staring at me.

The gods love me today don’t they?

“Is there something on my face?” I asked everyone. They just stood there speechless. Then Brittany regained consciousness and started walking again, as did everyone and their talking.

I slowly turned back to my locker, and shut it, making sure it was locked. I then made my way to my first class. I walked in and spotted everyone at the table, even Harry.

I walked up to the table, and sat down next to Gemma.

“Hey,” I said.

“Hey,” They all chorused.

“So, um,” I started till they looked at me. “Why is everyone acting so different?” I asked.

“Well, while you were gone, Brittany has been getting a lot of insults.” Niall spoke up. Before I could respond, Harry cut me off.
