Prologue

It wasn’t meant to be like this. I opened my eyes with stricking pain in my head, feeling the silky bed sheet smoothing my bare body.

 My head was too jumpy to catch up what exactly was going on. The high ceiling, dim light and the comfy bed added extra mystery to my unknown situation.

Then I was barely sober enough to realize what a big mistake I’ve made.

 Something powerful enough to change the way I see my best friend, my relationships, and most importantly, myself.

 “You awake?” The naked stranger man, lying next to me, asked without shame. “Shall we hook up once more?”

 Twelve hours ago

 “What’s the big deal anyways? It was just a kiss, and it didn’t even last for one freaking second!” I took a sip of my new favorite cocktail, zombie, at the chocolate bar.

 “Well, but it was your first kiss, so I understand Samantha’s concern, honestly,” Jane, my best friend and roommate, put a handful portion of peanuts into her mouth. “Since you gave it to a stranger you’ve met for like, five minutes?”

“Well-” I hesitated, trying to give myself an excuse. “You know, I was a little bit drunk, and I saw you kissing that guy and so I was like, why not? I was pretty shocked when I realized what I’ve done though, after all I’ve never dated anyone…Now I’m making myself look miserable. Why did you even tell Sam anyways?”

 “I just didn’t think before I said those words…I thought she was more open-minded than that!” She threw me a guilty look. “And I definitely couldn’t imagine she’d start avoiding you just because you did that one little stupid thing.”

 “Thanks to you?” I rolled my eyes at her. “But well, if she is so judgmental about everything, she wouldn’t be a best friend material anyways. Never mind, we’re here to have fun tonight!”

 “Yay! Cheer! For our first nightlife hanging out!”

 “Now let’s finish our drinks and start dancing like crazy?” I smirked at her then drank my cocktail from the bottom. She also finished the rest of her long island.

 Soon enough, we were standing at the entrance of Bizarre,one of the hottest clubs in New Jersey.

~~~~~~~~
 Guys, guys, guys. All I can see are guys around us. It kind of freaks me out, worrying that any second they will have their hands on my body. Yet at the same time, there’s an unknown excitement revealing inside of me.
I used to be, or still am, the geeky girl who wears a pair of glasses to everywhere, and never wear make-up. Probably that's why no one has ever asked me out? Clubbing, or even going drinking at a bar, were such new ideas for me. Ideas that suffocated my brain and I was so scared to take a step forward, to experience more initimacy with guys.
 “I think I start to understand why some people loves clubbing so much!” I tried my best to yell at Jane, who has been shaking her body like there’s no tomorrow ever since we stepped on the dance floor. “I can’t believe why this is like, my first time clubbing for the past nineteen years!”
“Hey!” An unfamiliar male voice came to my ear, “I’m Eric, what’s your name?”
“I’m Joey!” My contact lensed eyes hurts too much to even stare at a guy’s face under the fuzzy laserr-neon lights. He was just about five inches taller than me, and he was wearing this funky harry-potter-like glasses.
“What? You’re sorry?”
Every freaking time, I thought. I rolled my eyes and pretended to laugh. “It’s Joey, not sorry!”
 “Alright,” He shrugged his shoulder and offered me a hand, “Actually my friends and I have a table here. You and your friend wanna have a drink?”
 I looked at him skeptically, and shifted my sight to Jane. “He offered us drinks, saying that they’ve got a table. You wanna go?” I whisper-yelled in her ears.
 "Sure! Why not?” She yelled back, obviously excited. “It gets pretty boring out here anyways, these guys keep touching me!”
 “Um…I guess we’re down to it?” I told this Eric guy and we followed his lead.
