John noticed that this one word was said almost exactly a minute apart each time and continued to ignore it.
"Johnnnn." Sherlock dragged out his name and finished with a bored groan.
"John."
"John."
"John."
"Johnny."
Sherlock was quite surprised when he said the last one, he wasn't entirely expecting it and neither was John.
Sherlock glanced up from where he was sprawled on the ground and analyzed John's reaction. In his opinion it would most likely be a 'what the hell' frown.
John frowned and continued to ignore Sherlock.
Sherlock was going through a list of 'things' that he could do to John that would grant him the attention he craved.
Annoy him, already done.
Insult him, hmm would get attention but not the right type.
Kiss him, an unexpected way of grabbing attention, might work.
So, with a plan, Sherlock jumped off the floor and stood quite awkwardly in front of John.
John looked up from the newspaper he was reading and fixed Sherlock with a blank stare.
Sherlock took a deep breath, a few steps forward, bent down and kissed John softly on the lips.
John froze for a fraction of a second and then gave Sherlock a lot of attention.
