The similarities between this situation and the one which Cynthia had found herself in weren't un-alike and this wasn't lost on Marc. Unlike Cynthia who had liked her theatrics Marc didn't.
He had to be frank.
He wasn't going to delude himself like Cynthia had done.
This time the sender definitely couldn't be who they said they were.
They were dead.
He'd seen them die.
In the warehouse where his parents had perished.
Technically they'd been executed.
But this person was definitely dead.
Dead as a dodo.
Staring blankly at the screen he felt faint.
The sender didn't know who'd they'd sent the e-mail to.
See, he knew the truth.
This prankster was gonna pay.
Marc grabbed his coat off it's hook on the door and closed the laptop's screen with his elbow.
