Chapter 1:

744 25 7

We have been practicing for a whole month and were finnaly ready. We loaded all of our stuff into the car and drove to where the contest was being held. There were 3 rounds and each time, a few groups would get kicked off until there were 2 left in the final round.

When we got there we found out a total of 6 groups entered....6!!!! I surley thought there were going to be more. So that meant 2 groups would be kicked out each round. We were going through our 3 songs in case we made it through all of the rounds. I was pretty sure we were.

We were the 2nd group to preform and I was getting really nervous.

"PLEASE WELCOME, RAINING SIDEWAYS!" The emcee announced and we walked out with our instruments. I took my place behind the mic and started out into the crowd. I swear I almost dropped the mic. Black Veil Brides was judging....HOW COULD I HAVE MISSED THAT!

"Um, we are Raining Sideways and were going to play a song that we wrote called Damage." I lowered my head and sang the first word as the guitar started.

You don't know anything
You don't know anything
You don't know anything about me

As the music played I loosened up a little.

Once it starts, it never stops
Discipline, it's all I'm not
Can't help myself, you listening?
Why can't I say just what I want?
You don't know anything
No, you don't know anything about me

Steady damage, cross the line
What's become clearly defined
Steady damage, cross the line
What's become clearly defined
Chain me up, hold me down
Just let me go, there's always more
I want it all excluding you
Losing control, so construed
You don't know anything
No, you don't know anything about me

Steady damage, cross the line
What's become clearly defined
Steady damage, cross the line
What's become clearly defined
Steady damage, cross the line
All that is done is left behind
Steady damage, cross the line
You had it all now I got mine
I can't wait to see your face when I make it without you
Nothing seems to go your way, you'll never amount to

Get away, get away, get away from me
Get away (never amount to)
Get away, get away, get away from me
Get away (never amount to shit)

Steady damage, cross the line
What's become clearly defined
Steady damage, cross the line
What's become clearly defined
Steady damage, cross the line
All that is done is left behind
Steady damage, cross the line
You had it all now I got mine
You don't know anything

I looked up and the whole room burst into cheers and applause. I looked at all 5 guys of BVB and I saw huge smiles on their faces and they were clapping wildly.

"Thank you thank you" I said and then we got off so the next band could get on.

"Everyone please come up on stage for the end of the first round."
