Harry Potter heard his girlfriend Ginny’s laughter, and smiled. After the Battle of Hogwarts had ended, and Hogwarts had been rebuilt, he, Ron, Hermione and even Neville had gone back for a proper seventh year at Hogwarts. Ginny and Luna had gone back for a proper sixth year, and many other students who had been around, had gone back to Hogwarts to redo their previous year. Muggleborns were back at Hogwarts and the castle was bright, the students cheery.

Ginny came around the corner, and Harry jumped out, wrapped his arm around her torso and arms, then he quickly tied a blindfold over eyes. Harry then planted his hand over her mouth, before she could scream. He was sure that Ginny had not seen who it was that had grabbed her, and, smirking slightly, he dragged her to the seventh floor, as she struggled. It was obvious that some of the students they passed were trying to stifle their giggles.

Harry dragged her back and forth, as he paced in front of the empty room across from the tapestry of Barnabas the Barmy. A door appeared, and Harry herded his girlfriend inside. The room looked some what like a smaller version of the Gryffindor common room, except the only couch in there was a small loveseat.

He lightly pushed Ginny onto the loveseat. She had stopped struggling, but was still tense. Her hands flew to the blindfold, but Harry quickly placed his hands over her eyes.

Harry tried to lower his voice. “I’m not an idiot, you know.” Ginny remained silent as Harry sat down next to her. Harry grinned, then summoned some rope. It appeared out of thin air, and fell into his lap. Harry bound her wrists behind her back, as she emitted a sound of protest.

Harry carefully turned her to face him. The blindfold still covered her eyes. “I’ve been watching you,” he said in a deep voice. Harry saw Ginny flinch. Harry gently rested is hand on her cheek, but she flinched away.

“You know me, Ginny. Don’t be scared.” Harry stared at Ginny, as her shoulders drooped slightly. Then he leaned forward… and gently pressed his lips to hers.

Ginny pulled back. “Who are you?” She asked at last. “Ginny…” Harry’s voice remained low in pitch. “If I reveal myself, you have to promise not to hex me. Is that a deal?”

Ginny nodded stiffly. Although she agreed, Harry knew. I’m dead, he thought. Never the less, he helped Ginny stand, turned her so her back faced Harry, and slowly untied the blindfold. Even though her hands were still bound, she whirled around.

When Ginny saw Harry, she shrieked, “Harry!” He smiled bashfully. “What was the point of kidnapping me?”

Harry took a deep breath. “Well… I’ve been debating for a while whether or not I should do this, and I finally decided that I would.”

Ginny gave a sharp intake of breath as he bent down on one knee. “Ginevra Molly Weasley?” Harry asked, pulling out a black, velvet box. “Would you give me the honor of marrying a beautiful woman, and marry me?” He said, opening the small box to reveal a beautiful ring. It’s silver band had a large white diamond protruding from the top, and three black diamonds tracing down on either side, going from largest to smallest.

Ginny gasped softly. “Of course,” she breathed. “Absolutely!”

Harry grinned, and stood. He wrapped his arms around her waist, and twirled her around. They both laughed. Harry set Ginny down.

They leaned in. Their lips met.

Everything was perfect.
