He looks around the room, a smile on his face, no he never gives a glare when he can find joy in the place.

I turn to face forward in my desk before he notices my stare, wondering when he will realize that I truly care.

He has a comment for every time of day

I keep my true feelings inside, leaving everything unspoken

He has few enemies, everyone seems to fawn over him

I keep myself distant afraid to get stabbed in the back again

He has a crush, I heard him say the other day

I listened carefully not wanting to miss a detail

But the boy who is never shy, closed up like a clam and sat mute

I wish I knew who he loved, but the name is left unspoken and unheard

He will go and make a bigger name for himself and push through any trouble he'll have

I will continue to watch from afar and do my best at everything I can

And maybe one day he will take a closer look or is he destined to never notice me?
