The ways and woes of someone lost,
Deep beneath the winter frost.
How is it you get this thrill?
The chill of holding someone still.
You should believe the past unwritten-
To see the knowledge was always forbidden.
To seek the things you never found,
You lay your heart upon the ground.
Searching for the one who knows,
Searching for the soul that shows.
Love is something never said.
The one who shows and the one who’s led.
Can’t you see it in my eyes?
The way the truth just breaks those ties.
I wish that I could understand,
And heal the scars you wish to mend.
Still the strings have come undone-
But hold me, before I’m gone.
I am lost-
Deep beneath the winter frost.
