Shadows cast their gaze.

Shadows see all that happens.

Do they see their own shadows?

The shadow of a great name,

The shadows have become one,

Till that man is overshadowed.

He shadowed kings,

Watched the shadows of gods,

Yet never escaped their shadows.

Though his shadow grew immense,

It never escaped the shadows of greats.

His thoughts were shadowed,

Lost in the dark shadows,

In the shadows he wished to make.

The shadows grew jealous.

The shadows sought might,

Shadows planted their seeds.

Shadow gave way to shade.

Encompassed by shadows,

Returned to shadow,

Consciousness was shadowed.

There is no escape from shadow.

Shadows tug at strings,

Guiding other shadows.

But do they see the shadows pulling them?
