Scrunching her eyebrows in pain, Annabella awakened with a brutal headache, the kind that made her feel like her skull had been torn in two.

With a blink of her eyes she raised her head from where it had been drooping over her knees in the chair she had been placed on, and attempted to move the hair away from her eyes when she found that each of her wrists had been restrained by vervain laced ropes.

Taking a panicked breath at this uncomfortable addition to her predicament, Annabella scoped the area to search for the assailant she had already assumed was a Mr Damon Salvatore.

Upon looking around her she noted that she had been placed in the drive way of the Salvatore household, the chair she was tied to put strategically and ironically beside a stone sun dial. Annabella wondered where Damon was hiding.

Damon seemed like the sort to play with his food before he ate it.

Waiting around for death was a pretty boring activity, Anna thought as she watched the black sky turn to a lighter shade of grey and closed her eyes tightly.

"So, it's true," the surprised words came from behind as Caroline Forbes walked around the chair to stand in front of Anna, joined by a hesitant Elena Gilbert and Stefan Salvatore.

Anna gritted her teeth, she felt like an animal in a cage being starred at by curious children.

"Klaus will literally try anything to get to us, Stefan," Elena ran her fingers through her long brown hair as she looked to Stefan with worry and concern, "who knows what he ordered her to do before Damon caught her." she said pointing at Annabella.

Sighing in indignation, Anna laid her head back over the top of the chair. She wasn't a mindless monster, she knew that in her gut, there just didn't seem to be a way to prove otherwise as all three of them discussed Klaus' unsuccessful foot soldier.

The sound of a car pulling up into the drive way caught Anna's attention, she lifted her head lazily to see Damon Salvatore in the drivers seat and Klaus Mikaelson as his passenger.

Tension rocked through Annabella as her shoulders straightened and her eyes narrowed. These men would indeed be her downfall, she could feel it in her bones.

Opening their respective car doors, each man descended and walked over to where Anna had been so thoughtfully placed. Klaus with an expression so casual that Annabella could hardly tell whether he hadn't a care in the world or if he were planning their murders with ease.

Damon placed his hand upon the back of Anna's chair and rocked her back slightly as if to point out the suns near arrival, with a vindictive smirk upon his lips he leaned down to her ear and muttered  "Klaus' girl is going to fry."

With these muttered words Stefan gripped Damon's arm and encouraged him to take a step back, looking to Klaus who had remained hauntingly silent since his arrival, Stefan raised his eyebrows and asked "Care to explain why we found a spy in our midst?"

A smirk instantly broadened Klaus' mouth, he placed his hands together and nodded, "I'm surprised it took you this long to discover her, but yet again it seems that I have expected far too much from you all."

He stepped easily up to where Annabella was restrained and took her chin softly between his fingers, causing Damon, Stefan, Elena and Caroline to take a step backward in unison.

Anna looked up into the eyes of the man who had made her into this blood thirsty creature, "I failed." she pointed out bluntly, "They discovered me."

He chuckled and knelt down in front of her, "I am aware."

Staring at Klaus in confusion, as it seemed everyone in the drive way was, Anna's hands shook as he took the ropes that had bound her and snapped them with ease.

"Then, why aren't I dead?" she asked with a tremor in her voice. Anna stayed in her seat as she waited for the answer to her question.

The sun would rise in mere minutes, she noted, and realized that she was without sunlight protection.

Whether or not Klaus wanted her dead, the sun would kill her nevertheless if she didn't get into the shade soon.

"Now now, Miss Sterling, don't worry that pretty little head of yours." Klaus smiled, and looked to Damon, addressing him now as he took Anna's hand and brought her to stand beside him, "I think Annabella has taken up enough of our time here in Mystic Falls, don't you think?"

Looking to Klaus in confusion, Anna took a few steps back "But where will I go?" she looked up toward the brightening sky  and back to Klaus anxiously.

Pursing her lips tightly, Anna watched Damon take a defiant step forward with clenched fists as Klaus let go of her hand and motioned for her to leave,  "Go visit New Orleans for me, I've been meaning to check up on some old friends there for a while."

She stood frozen for a moment as she took this information in, nodding obediently, Klaus added menacingly "Run along, young one, the adults need to have a discussion."

Annabella didn't need to be told a third time, she looked over the five people remaining in the drive way - a Master, an Innocent, a Student, a Soldier, a Saint - and ran wondering if she would ever see any of them again.
