Inside from Out

I've always wondered how many times do the stars go 'round the earth?

And how many sunsets have kissed the earth?

And how many times your heart will shatter

before it truly hurts.

How much pain will you feel the first time,

kicking and screaming inside. 

How many times you'll say "I'm fine" with a laugh and a smile,

falling apart

inside from out. 

You'll cry yourself to sleep,

dreading the next day,

but you'll still put on your mask

and walk into reality.

Smiling, laughing, playing, and singing. 

But there's only so much you can hide

before you lose yourself completely.
