There's been talk these past months about big dust storms. I thought our neighbors was tellin' fibs, but they was right. We just seen 'em today. We was headin' into town for some water. There ain't been much lately. Then we seen the Dust in the newspaper. I read about it blowin' thru Oklahoma and Colorado. Farmers didn't know what to do. Mama said that Aunt Sue and Uncle Jim are comin' to live with us cause their home got taken by the Dust.

Mama also says that she thinks we should get away from the Dust. Papa says there ain't no way the Dust is comin' here. I believe Papa. Papa is always right.
