Chapter 1

Jasons pov

Today I start my lights come on tour and my daughter Sierra shes sixteen, is coming with me, also I have a special guest that's gonna join me on tour Dylan Schneider great kid and an amazing singer.

I went upstairs to wake Sierra up, she's not a morning person

"baby girl wake up we gotta get going" I said rubbing her back

"daddy it's four am why are you waking me up so early" she asked

"today we leave for the tour we gotta go pick up Dylan from the airport this morning" I said she groaned and got up and shoved me out so she could get ready I chuckled teenage girls.

Sierras pov

I washed my face and brushed my teeth and got dressed and then went downstairs and grabbed a muffin and my coffee and dad and I got in the truck.

When we got to the airport we went down to the runway and waited for Dylan's plane to come in. I'm so excited to meet Dylan ever since I saw his videos I've loved his music and he's really cute too so that's a plus.

Dylans pov

When my plane landed in Nashville Tennessee I got off the plane and saw Jason's truck he got out and he had a girl with him, I'm guessing his daughter wow she's beautiful I didn't know he had a daughter.

"Hey Dylan how are you" he said shaking my hand

"good sir really excited to be on your tour" I said

"well I'm glad you came we're excited to have you" he said so after we put my stuff in his truck we went to get on the bus. Once we got on the road I got my gituar out and started struming a few chords

Sierras pov

I was reading a book when I heard Dylan playing his guitar wow he's really good

"Hey you know this song" he asked and started playing you had me from hello

"you had me from hello I love this song" I said he smiled and we sang it together

"Hey this was fun we should hang out sometime but I gotta rehearse my set for the show tonight" he said

"okay see you tonight" I said and went to my room and laid down and continued to read. While I was reading the bus stoped I looked out the window and saw we were at a gas station Dylan and I walked off the bus

"we gotta fill up the bus" dad said I nodded and we went inside and got some frozen yogurt and sat down

"so tell me about yourself when did you decide to become a musician" I asked

"I grew up watching cmt and all the award shows and I got my first gituar when I was six and from that moment I knew I wanted to be a singer and play county music just like my idols" he said I nodded

"I wanna be a singer someday like my dad but I don't think anyone would sign me" I said

"are you crazy I heard you singing your amazing and anyone who wouldn't wanna sign you is stupid" he said I blushed and smiled

"thanks maybe when we get home I'll call and set up some meetings with record companies" I said he smiled so after dad finished filling up the bus we got back on and continued the long drive to our first tour stop Los Angeles, California.

When we got to California we went to the arena where the concert was being played and dad met up with his team while Dylan and I walked around the stadium.

That night I was getting ready for the concert I wore a pair of dark shorts with a pink tank top that said cowboys and angels with my boots, my hair was down in beach waves and I did my makeup. I went out back stage and ran into Dylan

"oh Sierra hey sorry I didn't see you, wow you look amazing" he said

"thanks" I said smiling wow he's so cute. We got lost in each others eyes and then he spoke up

"well I better get ready to go on stage" he said

"yea I'll see you later" I said and he went to grab his gituar

Dylans pov

After doing my first three songs I decided to do a surprise duet with Sierra

"alright guys this next song I'm gonna do is called who says you cant go home I'm sure everyone knows that one, but I'm gonna need some help so everyone please welcome my friend miss Sierra Aldean" I said I looked over at the stage and she looked shocked but came on stage

Sierras pov

"what are you doing" I asked him

"singing with you that okay" he asked smiling and handing me a mic I smiled and put it on the stand

"I spent 20 years trying to get out of this place I was looking for something I couldn't replace I was running away from the only thing I've ever known" he sang I smiled and took the next part

"like a blind dog without a bone I was a gypsy lost in the twilight zone I hijacked a rainbow and crashed into a pot of gold" I sang

"I been there, done that and I ain't lookin' back on the seeds I've sown, saving dimes, spending too much  time on the telephone who says you can't go home, who says you cant go home there's only one place they call me one of their own" we sang together

"just a hometown boy born a Rollin Stone who says you cant go home" he sang

"who says you cant go back been all around the world and as a matter of fact there's only one place left I wanna go, who says you cant go home it's alright, it's alright, it's alright, it's alright, it's alright" we sang

"I went as far as I could, tried to find a new place, there isn't one of these lines that I would erase, I've lived a million miles of memories on that road" I sang smiling

"with every step I take I know that I'm not alone, you take the home from the boy but not the boy from the home, these are my streets the only life I've ever known, who says you cant go home" he and I sang. After we finished I bowed and the crowd went wild asking for an encore so we did one more song and then my dad went on stage. I was walking back to my bus when Dylan called my name I stopped and looked at him

"hey I was wondering if you wanted to go out tomorrow night maybe we can go grab some dinner and then maybe a movie" he asked I smiled and kissed his cheek

"I'd love to pick me up at seven" I asked

"yea see you tomorrow" he said and was about to walk away when I called him

"I had a great time singing with you tonight" I said

"me too goodnight" he said smiling

"Night" I waved and went inside I think I'm in love.
