They didn't talk on this day. John couldn't get her to reply. He didn't know where she was, he even asked people he saw.
He sat next to the wall, his eyes closed most of the time, except for when people came to talk to him.
It was dark out by the time he heard movement on the other side of the wall.
"Jane?" He sat up slightly.
"John! You're here, I'm relieved."
"Yeah, what happened, I was worried."
"You were worried?"
"Yeah."
"Oh, well those people came and took me to the bad place. It was horrible, I don't ever want to go there. Please don't let them take me."
"I'll try Jane, I'll try."
"How?"
"I don't know."
"What happened?"
"Well, there were people who tried to touch me, and they asked me questions with words I didn't know."
"What words?"
"I think one of them was healthy."
"Oh! I know that one, that means to not be sick."
"Oh, okay. Another was magnificent." She furrowed her eyebrows.
"Really? That's a long word. I wonder. It sounds strange."
"Yeah, I know."
"I'll find out for you."
"I hope it's nice."
"So do I."
"Goodnight John."
"Bye Jane."
