Shikamaru's Point of View
I curiously thought of Emiko's Uzumaki traces and stopped paying attention to everything else.
"Hello? Anyone there?", Emiko asked, waving her hands in front of me.
"Hm?", I said, confused.
"What's wrong Shikamaru? Is something on your mind?", Choji asked.
"Nah, it's just something troublesome," I reply quietly.
"Alright then! Where should we go!?", Emiko exclaimed excitedly,"I always wanted to meet your friends!"
"Ughhhhhhhhhhhhhhh," I groaned.
"Oh come on Shikamaru! She hella' cute!", Kiba exclaimed, whispering the last part.
I quietly grumbled, as he heard Kiba.
"Let's go Shikamaru! Where should we go first?", Emiko questioned cheerfully.
"Let's go to my family's flower shop first!", Ino answered as she pointed at her parent's flower store.
"Oh okay!", Emiko yelled joyfully,"Let's go, Shikamaru!"
Emiko grabbed my hand as she ran to the 'Yamanaka Flowers'.
"Whoa!", I exclaimed as Emiko pulled me in the store.
"C'mon! Let's go!", I heard Naruto say to the others.
We go in and see Asuma-sensei looking at the red roses. Great. To make this more awkward.
Asuma-sensei turns around and he greets with shock,"Oh! Shikamaru! I didn't see you there! I- Um. I was...... Doing something! Uh- Why are you here, Shikamaru?"
I groan as Emiko answers for me,
"Hello, sir! My name is Emiko! I'm Shikamaru's best friend!"
"Hello, so, you're Shikamaru's friend? I never heard Shikamaru talk about you before!", he responds.
"Yo-You never t-talked about m-me? I t-thought I w-was your f-friend?", Emiko said, with tears.
"What! No! I um-," I say, not expecting her reply.
"Just kidding Shikamaru! But, I am your friend, r-right?", she said, saying the last part, nervously.
"Yeah, o-of course," I say, turning a little pink.
My friends burst in the door, greeting Asuma-sensei.
Ino greeted,"Hey Asuma-sensei! Buying flowers for Kurenai-sensei again!"
"N-No! O-Of course not!", he denies.
"Sureeeeeeeeeee," Ino smirked slyly.
I sigh as I ignore everyone else's conversation.
I daze off, but, Emiko taps me on the shoulder,
"Hey Shikamaru! Look! It's a chrysanthemum bouquet!"
