It's a Summer day
I sat out here
My back against the wall
The grass was green
The trees was vibrant
It was a grey day,
Cloudy,
The rain was falling down hard
Puddles of water fill up the sidewalk
Footsteps echo,
Voices fade,
Laughter died,
Everything was quiet now,
I closed my eyes,
Hearing nothing,
Feeling the rain fall down on my head,
My plain white t shirt was drenched,
As I close my eyes,
I could hear her laughter,
Echoing,
Then fading away,
I could hear her say I love you,
Her dream like voice,
Her quiet smile,
Everything gone,
Because of that one night
Because of someone stupid,
Because of me....
I let her go,
She was hurt,
She couldn't take the pain,
Walked out,
Left..
That one night
When she left,
A drunk driver hit her,
Killed her..
All because of me...
I opened up my eyes,
Seeing that it was still raining,
Seeing that she was still gone.
