Why would He listen? Listen to my prayer?
Why would He indulge me, this selfish request?
What makes me different? Worthy of an answer?
What makes Him want to say “I am here”?
How soon we forget, let it become what it is not
that people don’t remember this gift from God.
Love is something He designed, a normality in life,
created by Himself, the great Divine.
We feel held back from the invisible,
all around saying that love is wishful;
but who are these hypocrites to say
when they’ve had many a lover but none to stay?
Divine light shines inside us, upon this sacred part,
a part that we are meant to hide for fear it to be bruised or torn.
But instead of being hidden to keep it whole and pure,
it is hidden because the act those who wish have become victims to scorn.
They say it shouldn’t be shown, revealed or wished for;
that those who do is wrong or a senseless whore.
But it is neither wrong nor shameful, to pray is to ask and did the Divine not say:
Ask and you will receive? Did he not give Adam a woman named Eve?
Because He knows the mechanics of life,
and desires the act to be sacred!
Love is a wonderful gift, something needed for all!
So when one is doing as God wishes, why are you appalled?
