Hi! so this is kind of a tester. im trying to write a short/long story (havent decided yet) and i want to try something a bit different from other authors that write slightly randomly; writing should be an art, and so far on wattpad, i cant find a lot of good authors that can write with style, so that's what im trying to (hopefully!) reintroduce. anyways, this is a tester, and bear in mind i am twelve and a half, and ive only written very short stories before. so.. if you like it, vote, if you dont, then dont vote, but either way, if you have time, id be very grateful for any comments. thanks! xoxo angie

"Mom!" My voice is thin and reedy. High-pitched. Unnatural.

"I'm going for a walk." I wonder if she can hear the tension in my voice?

" 'K hun," she said, absent and distracted. Oblivious as usual. Oh well. For this once, it would protect her. For a while.

"See ya mom" I shouted, and then after a pause, "Love ya"

I walked out quickly. I sauntered down the street casually, feeling surprisingly calm and detached. Several cars drove by, but I ignored them. They weren't big enough to be useful. Or fast enough, if it came to that. After a few mishaps, I spotted the perfect truck, and it's owner, a heavily muscled guy, was whistling and looked distracted. I took a deep breath, measured the distance carefully, closed my eyes, and started walking. Off the sidewalk, onto the road. I heard one yell, felt one uncertain hand on my forearm, but I shrugged both off. I continued walking.

Screeeech. Thud thud.

I felt the impact, and smiled. Mission completed.
